Why study College Teaching?

The Certificate in College Teaching is an interdisciplinary certificate that aims to equip graduate-level students with the necessary development and tools to pursue a career in academia. The program allows students to gain skills in teaching, professional development, and accessibility. By allowing students to select classes they want to take from an expanded curriculum, they can mold the certificate into an experience that best fits their needs for their future career aspirations. In alignment with the Graduate College’s mission, the Certificate in College Teaching will be a student-centered program that emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and belonging to further the creative and scholarly works of its students. 

Admission Requirements

  • Applications are accepted at any time. 
  • Must hold a baccalaureate degree.
  • One letter of recommendation. 

This certificate prepares students for a faculty career. 

The University of Cincinnati and all regional campuses are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
