April Events in Cincinnati

Spring in Cincinnati is a magical time! The flowers are blooming, the weather is warm and sunny, and suddenly it seems like everyone is out and about, ready to take in some sorely needed Vitamin D. Even those of us who hibernated all winter might suddenly find ourselves with the energy to attend events and activities. Check out our list of goings-on in Cincinnati this April below!
April 4, 11, 18, & 25: Union Terminal Anniversary Celebration. On Tuesday evenings in April, join the Cincinnati Museum Center for its celebration of the 90th anniversary of Union Terminal. Docents will present interesting historical talks followed by mini tours on the history, construction, and artwork of the iconic building. Cost is $15 for members or $20 for non-members.
April 6, 13, 20, & 27: Tunes and Blooms at Cincinnati Zoo On Thursday evenings in April, zoo admission will be free after 5PM and a collection of Cincinnati’s finest musicians will be playing some tunes. Guests can also enjoy the zoo’s extensive flower display and purchase food and beer at food trucks on site. Parking costs $10.
April 16: Art on Vine at Rhinegeist Brewery. From 12-7PM, Rhinegeist will be filled with more than 80 regional artists and craftspeople selling their wares. Find everything from paintings and clothing to ceramics and food items! A portion of proceeds go to benefit OTR community housing, so not only are you supporting local artists but also the community!
April 17-23: Greater Cincinnati Restaurant Week- If fine dining isn’t on your grad school budget, you’re certainly not alone. Luckily, restaurant week offers a chance to sample some of Cincinnati’s higher-end cuisine at a reduced price, with participating restaurants offering multi-course meals at $26, $36, or $46. View the full list of restaurants here and download the Restaurant Week app to view menus and check in at restaurants for a chance to win prizes.
April 22: Winton Lake Cleanup and Earth Day Celebration- In honor of Earth Day, join the Great Parks of Cincinnati in a cleanup of the beautiful Winton Lake from 9-11AM and then a celebration afterwards with food, vendors, craft beer, live entertainment, and games! Cleanup volunteers will receive free lunch at the celebration as well as a range of giveaway items.
April 23: Findlay Kitchen Tasting Event. From 10AM-4PM, stop on down to Findlay Market to sample some awesome food from vendors while enjoying live music. Tickets for samples can be purchased in advance online at a rate of 5 for $10 or 12 for $20; each ticket is good for one sample.
April 29-30: Asian Foodfest at Court Street Plaza. Beginning at 11AM on Saturday and Sunday, come purchase some delicious food items from local Cincinnati Asian restaurants. Additionally, enjoy live music and entertainment on multiple stages.
