Thursday: Virtual Cincinnati Experience

Cincinnati is home to more than the Bearcats! From museums to the zoo to a huge amusement park, there's always something to explore in the Queen City. This week, we're bringing the Cincinnati experience to you! Check out some of our favorite Cincinnati attractions from the comfort of your own home with these virtual tours and experiences. 

The Cincinnati Zoo

The Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Gardens is consistently ranked one of the Top Zoos in the nation, (#1 last year!) and for good reason! The Zoo is the second oldest zoo in the United States and is home to over 400 species of animals and 3,000 plant species. It is also a world-renowned leader in the areas of endangered species reproduction, groundbreaking education collaboratives, and green practices. 

You might be familar with our famous hippos Fiona and Fritz, but there's a lot more of the zoo to explore! Take a virtual tour below and learn about this beautiful crown jewel in Cincinnati. 

Newport Aquarium

Just across the Ohio River is the Newport Aquarium, an accreddited aquarium home to thousands of aquatic creatures from across the world. From penguins to sharks to smiling stingrays, the Newport Aquarium has it all! The aquarium is also home to the famous Shark Bridge, a first-in-the-world experience where you can cross inches above a tank full of sharks on a rope bridge! Cincinnati Museum Center

In one of the most iconic landmarks of Cincinnati is the Cincinnati Museum Center, one-of-a-kind, multi-museum complex. The Museum Center is home to the Cincinnati History Museum, the Cincinnati History Library and Archives, The Children's Museum, the Museum of Natural History & Science and the Robert D. Lindner Family OMNIMAX® Theater. In total, the Museum Center’s collection encompass more than 1.8 million artifacts, art works and archives!

Cincinnati Art Museum

Located at the top of beautiful Eden Park, the Cincinnati Art Museum features a diverse, encyclopedic art collection of more than 73,000 works spanning 6,000 years. In addition to displaying its own broad collection, the museum also hosts several national and international traveling exhibitions each year. And the best part? It's free to visit!

National Underground Railroad Freedom Center

The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is a museum of conscience, an education center, a convener of dialogue, and a bea­con of light for inclusive freedom around the globe. The museum is located on the banks of the Ohio River, the great natural barrier that separated the slave states of the South from the free states of the North. This powerful museum is home to permanent and special exhibits that inspire, public programming that provoke dialogue and action, and educational resources that equip modern abolitionists.

King's Island

Did you know that Cincinnati is home to one of the largest amusement parks in the nation? King's Island is a 364-acre park located just 24 miles north of downtown Cincinnati. The park is home to 49 rides and 14 roller coasters, including one of only seven giga coasters in the world!
