Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals
On June 15, 2012, President Obama created a new policy calling for deferred action for certain undocumented young people who came to the U.S. as children. Applications under the program, which is called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), began on August 15, 2012. Individuals who can demonstrate through verifiable documentation that they meet these guidelines will be considered for deferred action. Once granted DACA status, it might be possible to qualify for in-state tuition while studying at the University of Cincinnati. Visit the UC International website's page on Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals for the procedures necessary to establish your DACA status and the processes you will need to follow to be considered for in-state tuition.
