Childcare

The University of Cincinnati recognizes the importance of childcare to students with young families. Two options are available: the Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center and the UC Early Learning Center.

The Arlitt Child and Family Research and Education Center is the university’s award-winning laboratory preschool. Approximately 145 children ages 3 to 6 attend this preschool. Children are funded through both tuition and Head Start and can be enrolled in half-day, extended-day or full day programs. Roughly 25 percent of the children in the Arlitt program have been identified as having a specific disability. For more information, call 513-556-3802 or email wrightme@ucmail.uc.edu.

The UC Early Learning Center, located about three blocks from campus, offers childcare for UC faculty, students and the community for children ages 3 months to 8 years. Discounts are available for students and employees, and there is a waiting list. For more information, call 513-961-2825 or email ucelc.director@gmail.com.
